Fleadh Info for Competitors

VENUE 

All competitions will take place in Coláiste Choilm in Ballincollig – P31 NY77




PARKING

There will be NO PARKING available at the school or on the road outside school – this will be strictly enforced by the Gardaí.


Set down facilities will be available at school for Large Instruments ONLY - (i.e. Harp & Drums)


FREE PARKING AVAILABLE AT FOLLOWING LOCATIONS – ALL WITHIN SHORT

WALKING DISTANCE

  • Barrack Square Multi Storey – P31 YA70 – 500 Spaces – 600m – 8 minute walk

  • Ballincollig Primary Care Centre – P31 XN96 – 113 Spaces – 500m – 7 Minute walk

  • Rubrik, Link Road – P31 D452 – 100 Spaces, 550m – 8 Minute walk


ADMISSION & PROGRAMMES

Wristband will give you access to all competition venues.  No wrist band - No Entry.


Admission Prices ( Per Day)

Sínsear - Adult €6

Sóisear - Junior €4

Clár – Programme €6


LATE SLIPS

To save time over the weekend you can print off late slips and complete them in advance of your competition. Late slips can only be used where a competitor is in two of more competition at the same time. On receipt of a valid late slip, a competition will be held open for a max of 15 mins after the last available competitor has played.





COMPETITION NOTES 

  • Please Note:  Venues  & Times  may be changed at the discretion of the Fleadh Committee

  • If you are not entered in a competition you can not compete *

  • If you think there is an error in the Clár – please go to the Fleadh Office to discuss the matter. No amendments to the Clár can be made at the venue.

  • Please ensure that all perpetual Trophies won in Douglas last year are returned before the start of the Fleadh – please return same engraved and clean.

  • IF YOU KNOW OF A COMPETITOR WHO IS NOT GOING TO BE COMPETITING AT

THE FLEADH, PLEASE INFORM THE VENUE !!

 

CATERING / FOOD

  • There will be on site catering within the school for the weekend - serving Snack / sandwiches / hot food / minerals etc

  • There will also be a Coffee Cart on school grounds serving Barista Coffee and snacks

  • There is a wide variety of cafes /restaurants /shops in Ballincollig itself – approx. 800m away


VIDEO/RECORDING PERMITS

To comply with Child Protection Guidelines & Ríalacha Fleadhanna Cheoil, if you wish to video or record any competitor you must have a permit signed by the parent of the competitor or the teacher of the group or band.

Video Permits are available ONLY from the Fleadh Office


FLEADH ADJUDICATION SHEET REQUESTS

Applications For:  Solo Competitors, Duets & Trios Requests:

:- Available ONLY to the competitor  and if competitor is U 18 only available to his/her parent/guardian.

 

Applications For:  Céilí Bands, Grúpaí Ceoil, Sets, Half Sets & Céilí Teams & Marching Bands: Available ONLY to: CCÉ Branch Secretary or Tutor/Teacher for non Comhaltas entries.

 

PRACTICE ROOMS

  • NO PRACTICE ROOMS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR GROUPS AND BANDS. THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE AT ALL FLEADHANNA. ALL PRACTICE SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED BEFORE THE FLEADH

However, Branches have been offered a ‘Base Classroom’ in the Gaelpod (adjacent to the Sportlann – venue for Groups & Bands) – your branch secretary / teacher will have this information if your branch has booked same.


Please inform all Competitors of times and venues.
