Welcome to Douglas Comhaltas. We are proud to be the host branch of Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí 2024 which will be the first occasion our branch has organised the County Fleadh in Douglas
ABOUT US
Douglas is a vibrant Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. Established 21 years ago, from humble beginnings with just a handful of members, the branch has continued to grow and prosper. We now have a membership of over 400 ranging in age from five to eighty five years old who attend classes each Wednesday night in Gaelscoil na Dúglaise in the heart of Douglas village, in Cork City. Táimid fós ag dul ó neart go neart.
Our Branch strives to embed the true ethos of Comhaltas promoting Irish music and culture within our membership and the wider community. The primary focus of the Branch is providing affordable classes in the full range of traditional instruments and singing in a fun and friendly environment.
